This literature review broadly examines disability in
Alzheimer’s disease (AD). The paper addresses the various types of
disability in AD, as well as the presumed causes and the economic and
social costs of such disability. The influence of various types of
treatment of disability, particularly pharmacological is addressed, as are
directions for future research.
